India Skills Competition 2018 & Boot camp training at DMES
Founded in 1950, World Skills International is the global hub for skills excellence and development. Its considered to be as Skills Olympics. World Skills brings youth, industries and educators together to give them the chance to compete, experience, and learn how to become the best in their skill of choice. In choosing candidates to represent India at this grand platform, the India Skills competition is held.
World Skills India is an initiative of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. This competition helps promulgate skills in society especially among the youth to motivate them to pursue vocational education which will be beneficial for them in the future & also to help them in inculcating various skills.
It is the platform where emerging professionals can display their workplace skills with utmost perfection and make India proud. The competition also facilitates cooperation between the Government, industry & academia to create nationwide awareness, ownership and participation across various skills. World Skills mainly help Indian youth to attain world class standards of competence excellence and productivity.
For the India Skills & World Skills 2018-19 Design Media & Edutainment School is the Industry partner for the “Graphic Design Technology” skill. India Skills 2018 is been conducted in Delhi – Aerocity from 2nd Oct to 6th October 2018. Before the India Skills competition DMES has conducted a Boot camp training for all the participants under the guidance of Mr. Sathish Narayanan the Director and Founder of DMES. He is also the Chief Expert for Graphic Design Technology. In the 15 days boot camp training all the three Regional winners i.e. nine contestant took part. They were given deep insight of design fundamentals, Design thinking, Color theory and various design elements.
The top two finalist of India skills 2018 competition Mr.Suraj Asawa & Ms. Shweta Ratanpura will get further extensive training at Design Media & Edutainment School before the World Skills competition 2019 that is to be held at Kazan Russia. According to our Director Mr.Sathish Narayanan “Passion, Commitment, Dedication, Focus, Smart Thinking and Good Health is the most important thing required to be a winner at the World Skills competition.”
So the race for Gold has begun and we are very sure that this time we will bring a Medal for our country.
